Brad Pavey Leopold Sportsmans Club Junior Squad

Brad Pavey from Leopold Sporting Club  mar4 his debut for Victoria on January 10 at Sunbury Bowls Club in the U/18's Victorian team against South Australia.

Brad has only been bowling now for nearly 2 years, encouraged by his Grandfather, Col, Brad joined the junior squad and has made rapid progress. Brad's dad, Craig has also started bowling too.

Brad is the current Geelong Novice Champion and will be playing for the State title of Novice Champion and 5 February at the Mulgrave Country Club. Novices are new bowlers either in their first or second year to the sport.

He's bowled in a number of tournaments to date, doing well in the Victorian Open at Shepparton in November and then selected for the state team to play South Australia mentioned above.

Brad is hoping to be selected in the state team to play Tassmania and then in the Australian Championships for Victoria under 18's.

He also plays skip with the seniors for Leopold Sporties and according ot his coach, Nicole, is pretty damn good.

Brad is a student at St. Ignatius College in Drysdale, studying year 11 this year and enjoys playing a wide range of sports.

Nicole Shortis is his Leopold Sporties coach, and has recently been appointed to coach the Regional Squad, the Geelong Giants. She will continue to coach at Leopold.
